Rajyasree Ghosh started her training in Indian Classical Music at a very early age. In recognition of her exceptional talents, she was awarded the Gold Medal both in B.A and M.A in Classical Music (Kheyal) from the Rabindra Bharati University. She was later awarded the National Scholarship by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. of India in 1986 under the training of Pandit Amiya Ranjan Banerjee.

Rajyashree was a scholar at the Sangeet Research Academy (SRA), where she studied music under the guidance of Smt. Girija Devi and Pandit Arun Bhaduri. Later she also supplemented her talim from the Late Pandit K.G. Ginde.

In light classical field she took extensive taalim of Thumri, Dadra etc. from Smt. Grija Devi at SRA. She took taalim in Nazrulgeeti from the late Smt. Suprava Sarkar and trained in Bengali Tappa, Puratani etc. from the legendary Shri. Ramkumar Chatterjee.

Rajyasree Ghosh has performed and won laurels in several prestigious music conferences. She was placed first for three consecutive years (1984 – 1986) in the Dover Lane Music Competition in Khayal, Ragpradhan and Bhajan. She features regularly in the All India Radio and is a lecturer at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

Rajyashree will be accompanied in Tabla by Jyoti Prakash. Jyoti studied under Pandit Brojen Biswas and Sri Sumantra Guha, and over the years became a prominent disciple of Pandit Abhijit Banerjee, one of the most renowned tabla players in India .

Jyoti Prakash has been awarded with SANGEET BIVAKAR and SANGEET BISHARAD from Chandigarh University, India. He served as the principal of ARYAVI, a music college affiliated to Chandigarh University, and also taught at SANGEET BHARATI affiliated to Allahabad University, India. He has performed in All India Radio and various Indian television channels, conducted workshops throughout West Bengal, India, and judged various music competitions held at Calcutta University, India.

Jyoti Prakash has performed extensively in India and United States and has accompanied a number of renowned artistes including Pandit Jasraj on vocal, Pandit Keshav Ghinde on flute, Pandit K. Sidhar on sarod, Kathak Dancer Pandit Chitresh Das, Tap Dancer Jason Samuel Smith, David Tasroff on sarod, and Paul Livingstone on sitar. He has also played tabla in the prestigious Emmy Award Ceremony in 2005, and worked as an Assistant Music Director for a documentary film in Calcutta, India .

Jyoti has been teaching since 2005 at Dhwani Academy of Percussion Music. The academy was founded by Pandit Abhijit Banerjee and has branches located in Los Angeles, Irvine, Riverside, and San Diego .
