Keya Chattopadhyay, an internationally reputed performing vocalist and music teacher. Keya is a computer scientist by profession but her primary passion and goal is to promote Bengali music and culture abroad. She performs all over the world both live and on television channels. She also runs the Geetanjali Music School in different
parts of USA, Canada and India.

She started her performance in AIR (all India radio) as a child. She learned music from the legendary teacher and performer Smt. Suchitra Mitra. Later she learned Indian classical music from Shanti Chakrabarty (prayag sangeet samittee). Other teachers and institutions include, Smt. Banani Ghosh, Sri Subinoy Ray and Shantiniketan Sangeet Bhavan.

AWARDS:

Keya has won the "Rajiv Gandhi Memorial" award for her excellence in Tagore songs and for spreading Indian music and culture abroad. Keya was awarded the prestigious "Sopan" for her contribution to Tagore's music.

Keya will be accompanied in Tabla by Samar Das. Samar Das started playing tabla at the age of eight. He graduated from the prestigious school of music, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. He accompanied many eminent artists such as Smt. Lakshmi Shankar, Sriradha Bandopadhyay, Anup Ghosal and Bappi Lahiri, to name a few. His expertise as a classical tabla player as well as light music player is a rare combination in the field of Tabla. He teaches Tabla at his residence in Simi Valley.
