Amraa Je Bangali - Drama by students of Pathsala Bengali School

Sen family from Salt Lake, Kolkata is visiting relatives in Los Angeles. Each member of Sen family had a different view of how Bengalis in the USA live. The Mom longed for their "happy" lifestyle while Dad was apprehensive of spending days among "Americanized" Bengalis. The little girl believed the people in the USA are rude and the boy ... well, let's not talk about the boy right now.

However, after arriving in the USA, they allfind that their preconceived views of America are wrong. The Bengalis here live in joy and sorrow, work hard and have fun - just like the Bengalis in "Desh". There may be difference in language or topics of "Adda" they use, but at the core, they all are the same people. In fact, in some cases, the people in this country care more about Bengali tradition and culture than the visitors.
