Entertainment for All Ages

This year, BASC will serve a culinary fare that is as Bengali as it gets (with “Rui Maacher Kaalia” and “Fish Fry”) … and spice it up with a variety of entertainment programs catering to all generations – from devotional music to classical instrumental presentation to modern songs. Glimpses of the entertainment programs are given below.

Abhijit, a disciple of Pt Gyan Prakash Ghosh is a regular performer at all the major music conferences in India and abroad.

8:30 PM: Sampaan – Bengali band from Bay area
A couple of years ago, one of the top Bangla bands from Calcutta paid a visit to the SFO Bay Area. Their music touched the souls of a group of local Bengalis so deeply that they decided to have a band of their own ... and so, Saampan was born.
