Sumana Chakrabarty

Sumana Chakrabarty is a rising star in the Bengali music industry today. She has received training in vocal classical music from Pt. Ajoy Chakrabarty, Smt. Sreela Banerjee (daughter of Pt. Tarapada Chakrabarty) and Shree Amal Chatterjee. A recipient of West Bengal State Music Academy Scholarship, Sumana has won several awards like Lady Brabourne Best Singer award 2000, Inter-college award AGONE'2000 and All India Radio Eastern Zonal award for devotional songs.
Sumana has several music albums to her credit such as "Chaand Jege Ache", "Gaane Mor Kon Indradhanu", "Pankauri" and "Radha Hote Bolo Na". She has also lent her melodious voice to playback in a number of TV serials such as "Khela" (Zee), "Naacho To Dekhi Megastar" (ETV), "Mahanayika" (ETV), "Ritur Mela Jhoom Tararara" (ETV), "Nir Bhanga Jhar" (ETV), "Tista" (ETV). Sumana is a regular feature in Bengali television and has appeared in many musical programs:
- ETV BANGLA- "Deya Neya", "Naacho To Dekhi", "Prothoma", "Utsaber Shera Paribaar", "Gaane Mor Indradhanu" ,"Jhankar Beats", "Oti Uttam", "Fair & Lovely Film Award", "Protidin Telesamman".

- TARA MUSIC - "Upasana", "Bangla GAANER Chamak".
