Bengali Association of Southern California (BASC) is a US non-profit organization which caters to ethnic Bengali population in Southern California. Since its inception in Los Angeles in 1978, BASC has been nurturing and promoting Bengali culture and awareness through two publications and hosting of cultural events several times a year.

The Japanese Wife: Movie show on June 18, Friday
BASC has tied up with Databazar to bring you latest urban Bengali films.
The first one will be The Japanese Wife by Aparna Sen to be shown on
June 18, Friday, 8:30 PM at NAZ8 Cinemas in Cerritos.

Picnic, 2010
BASC celebrated 2010 annual picnic on June 12 Saturday at Cypress Arnold Park.
More than 220 adults and kids joined the fun filled day which started with Muri-makha and ended with Jaljeera with lots of fun in between.For a complete report, please click here.

NatyoSandhya, An Evening of Drama
BASC presented NatyoSandhya, an evening of drama on May 8, Saturday at Duarte Performing Arts Center located at 1401 Highland Ave, Duarte, CA 91010.
Teams from New Jersey and Los Angeles participate. The event was a huge success.
